Player of the Week
Tom Starling (Newcastle Knights)
A regular in our Team of the Week column, Starling has finally earned Player of the Week honours after another fantastic performance in the Knights’ win over the Bulldogs. Starling controlled the game, scoring a try, setting up a try, running for 162 metres, kicking for 163 and break seven tackles. On top of that, he got through a mountain of work in defence, making 32 tackles.

Rookie of the Week
Thomas Mikaele (Wests Tigers)
A two-time Australian Schoolboy, Mikaele was the standout performer in the Tigers’ upset win over the Cowboys in Townsville. The Ipswich junior ran for 155 metres, broke seven tackles and set up a try in the six-point victory.
