Player of the Week
Wayde Egan (Penrith Panthers)
After scoring four tries, which included a hat trick inside the opening 14 minutes, it’s hard to go past Penrith’s Wayde Egan as Player of the Week. The Lithgow junior became the first hooker in NYC history to score four tries in a game in the Panthers’ win over the Warriors. He didn’t just score tries either, running for 109 metres, making thee line breaks, five tackle breaks, 1 line break assist and making 37 tackles.

Rookie of the Week
Sam McIntyre (Newcastle Knights)
Port Macquarie junior Sam McIntyre backed up his two try effort against the Titans last week with a great performance in the Knights’ big win over Canberra. The second rower scored a try, ran for 145 metres, broke the line twice and made seven tackle breaks, terrorising the Raiders’ right edge.
