NYCDB Team of the Week – Round 22

Kurt Wiltshire

Player of the Week
Kurt Wiltshire (North Queensland Cowboys)
Joining his Cowboys’ centre partner Enari Tuala as a winner of our Player of the Week, Wiltshire ran riot in his side’s 44-point win over Melbourne. The Gemfield Giants junior scored a try, ran for a massive 297 metres and broke eight tackles in the victory. Wiltshire is North Queensland’s top metre earner, averaging 159.8 metres per game in 2017.

Rookie of the Week
Luke Metcalf (Cronulla Sharks)
One of the Sharks’ best SG Ball players earlier in the year, Metcalf has seamlessly stepped up to Cronulla’s all-conquering NYC side. On Saturday night, the Orara Valley junior scored a hat trick and ran for 253 metres, his final try coming off a length of the field run down the side line.
