As the regular season comes to a close, the teams fighting for Top 8 spots are starting to stamp their authority and we saw some big scorelines as a result in Round 24. With these big results, comes some great stat lines, making our job of picking a Team of the Week just a bit harder than usual.

Player of the Week
Harry Grant (Melbourne Storm)
Out of finals contention and nothing but pride to play for, Storm captain Harry Grant was instrumental in leading his side to an upset victory over Newcastle on Saturday. The Yeppoon Seagulls junior contributed in both attack and defence, scoring twice, running for 127 metres and adding 44 tackles in Melbourne’s 36-point victory.

Rookie of the Week
Emosi Alamoti (Parramatta Eels)
A two-time winner of our Rookie of the Week award, Eels’ centre Emosi Alamoti scored four tries, ran for 148 metres and broke eight tackles in his side’s 22-point over the Titans on Friday night. He joins a group of four other Eels to have scored four in one NYC game, taking his debut season tally to nine tries in nine games.
