Four members of Souths Logan’s Mal Meninga Cup-winning side have been named to represent Queensland under-18 in their annual fixture against New South Wales.
The 18-man squad also features three players from the runners-up Norths Devils’ outfit and four from semi-finalists the Tweed Heads Seagulls.
Longtime Queensland under-16 coach Kurt Richards will take control of the side, who went down by seven points in last year’s fixture.
The squad includes five players who were involved of that game, including halves Cory Paix and Tanah Boyd.
Brisbane Broncos’ NRL squad member David Fifita has also been named after missing last year’s fixture through injury.
The match will be played on Wednesday June 6 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground as a curtain-raiser to Game 1 of the 2018 State of Origin series.
