Harold Matthews Cup

The Harold Matthews Cup is an under-16 competition (under -15 until 1997) administered by the New South Wales Rugby League. Run annually since 1970, the competition currently features 16 teams and runs from February to May. Based in New South Wales, the competition formerly hosted teams from Melbourne and the Gold Coast and currently features a team from Western Australia.

From 2011 to 2016, the winners of the Grand Final faced off against the winners of Queensland’s under -16 competition, the Cyril Connell Cup, in the National Final.
